The first few days of a new job can be a mixture of emotions and feelings...excitement, apprehension, anticipation, strangeness, etc. I have gotten through my first few days in my new role at Richwoods Christian Church. Everyone has been very welcoming and helpful.
I have to admit the new staff initiation procedure was a little interesting. All new staff members are presented the following at their first staff meeting and must wear them throughout that day.
They were comfortable but not sure the impression they made on the various church members that dropped in to say hi throughout the day.
At least the staff had mercy on me and allowed me to wear my normal shoes when we all went out to lunch.
All and all...a first good week.

Liz emailed us with your most current information and said to ask you about the pretty pink slippers...I read the information in your blog...and have come to a decision...that is wrong, to make you wear pretty pink slippers...funny, but wrong. At least they gave you mercy for your lunch outing!! Good luck with your new endeavor...we will be praying for your move to go as smoothly as it can!! We know all too well how stressful moving is...if we can help...let us know. Will you be moving yourselves, or will someone be moving you guys? We have some boxes you can have...20 X 20 X 12. They are perfect for smaller items. We usually give them to our new clients that get their homeowners thru us. Let us know if you can use some.
