This captures the feeling this incredibly cold Monday morning. The Bears lost and its -11 in Chicago (only -1 or -2 in Peoria)
The warm bed seemed a better alternative...but life goes on. It will be hard to get excited about anything this morning.

In Algonquin it's -3. Zach didn't want to go to school today because he thought it was too cold. I had to drag him away from the television because he just knew his school closing would be listed on the news. When that didn't work, he went for the sick excuse - "Can you let me stay home sick today?"
I asked, "How was he sick?"
He said, "I'm sick that the Bears didn't win last night."
I told him that wouldn't work. But I did offer to write a note to his teacher and ask her to take it easy on him today - since he was so upset about the BEARS!!!! Mornings are not boring around the BARNES home!
